London Transgender Film Festival and Fundraiser 2008
We are happy to announce the London Transgender Film Festival on the 7, 8 & 9 Nov 2008 at the Ritzy Picturehouse in London.
This much needed festival is long overdue. Currently there are no film festivals dedicated to transgender issues in London, until now.
Transgender art does not usually get the recognition it deserves which is our incentive for organising this festival. We are trans people who want to showcase the work of other trans people, their friends, partners and allies.
We are currently accepting submissions for the Festival. please check the website for full details

We will be holding a fundraiser on Sun Aug 24 at the Gasworks in London. Please come and support this event!

Berlin Summer Faerie Gathering 2008
COME AWAY WITH THE FAERIES to Berlin’s beautiful Wannsee Lake. We gather together with faerie friends from all over Europe and the whole world, for a week of summer-love, light and laughter. Expect faerie frolics, bodywork, outdoor fun and plenty of space to play. It is a chance for international encounters, workshops, and meditation. There will be Heart Circles for the body and soul. Song, dance and drumming are also an integral part of faerie life.
Join us to create a safe space in our nice little house just a few steps away from the lake, located in a forest, and just a short train journey from central Berlin.

Europaen Transgender Council 2008
The Council welcomes all people, defining themselves as trans*, and aligned LGBTIQ activists, friends, and spouses. We hope to attract a diverse crowd coming form all over Europe and beyond.
The program will consist of plenary sessions, workshops, get together, a party, an art exhibition and much more. One of the highlights will be the first presentation to a wider public of the findings of the study on living situation of trans*people in the European Union, which was conducted by ILGA, Press for Change and Transgender Europe in 2007.
Moreover there will be a debate about the aims and concept of TransGender Europe, the most comprehensive European-wide network of trans*organizations and individuals, that was found only one year ago as a result of the first council in Vienna.
We will formulate our demands and scrutinize together with politicians of the European parliament the human rights situation of trans*people.
Core piece of the council is the workshop block on capacity building, where that there will be plenty of opportunities to obtain skills for daily trans* activism, exchange best practices, start new and obtain older contacts and networks.
Last but not least, the local trans*scene and allies are eager to show its guests the fresh and exciting night life with a big party and an art exhibition.
"Gay Film Nights" - Romanian Gay & Lesbian Festival
The producers claim that it will not be a regular edition, mainly because it's been 5 years since the organizer of the event, the LGBT support group "Be An Angel Romania", was founded.
With the aid of art, a bridge of communication and diversity acknowledgment will be attempted between people, regardless of their sexuality.
Besides the LGBT artistic movies running during the event, the festival will also host for the first time an European contest for all young people from Europe willing to express their creativity with an anti-discrimination message. The contest is known as "Home Made Movies".
Two photo exhibitions, a theater performance, public debate, and of course Mister Gay Romania are just some of the main events of a splendid edition to come.
One of the most important spotlight events will be the "Gala of the Gay Prizes 2007" where, just like in the previous editions, awards will be granted to personalities of the public Romanian life that have supported and gotten involved into the LGBT community from Romania.
And as it has been in the last three editions, entrance is free, yet another reason for everyone to join.
